The awards ceremony for the winners of the Digital InPulse Côte d’Azur 2020 startup competition will be held online in Nice tomorrow, Thursday November 5 at 6pm. To mark the 7-year anniversary of this program, which Huawei is piloting, the 2020 edition of Digital InPulse, on the theme of APP4GOOD, is dedicated to smartphone applications that offer solutions to today’s societal challenges, particularly in the fields of environmental protection, education, health, and the reduction of inequalities.
Given that over two-thirds of the world’s population now owns a smartphone, how can we ensure that this everyday tool plays a positive role in our lives? This was the question the participating Côte d’Azur startups had to answer by developing new applications.
Digital InPulse is a program set up by the Chinese Huawei Group to support and accompany innovative French startups and SMEs in their development and internationalization. The program aims to foster cooperation between French and Chinese companies. The two winners in Nice will receive financial support (30,000 euros for the first and 20,000 euros for the second), a business trip to the Greater Bay Area in southern China, and personalized support from Huawei teams in France and China (contacts with cooperation teams, Huawei partners, dedicated product lines, etc.).
Last year’s winners from Nice were Ontrack, a multi-purpose navigation system for running, hiking, biking and motorcycling, and Wever, a platform for driving new mobility. Previous winners include Aqua-Module, Milanamos, Key Infuser, MyCoach, SecludIT, TRAXXS, BF Systemes… The two 2020 winners will be announced tomorrow.
